The University of Tennessee campus is full of fun activities to keep your participants busy during their free time. Our event staff can work along with your planning team to create a customized recreation event plan.
The indoor Student Aquatic Center (SAC) provides a heated Olympic-sized pool indoors. There are men’s and women’s showers and locker areas within the SAC. The Health and Physical Education Building has activity spaces that RecSports uses for a variety of activities including basketball, badminton, racquetball, and rock climbing. The RecSports Field, nearly 2.5 acres in size, is the primary outdoor location for intramural and group recreational activities along with those who wish to have fun in the sun on an informal basis.
TRECS
The Tennessee Recreational Center for Students (TRECS) offers an Olympic size outdoor pool that is heated and available for use by summer conference guests. The RecSports Field, adjacent to the outdoor pool equipped with field turf and electronic scoreboards, is an easy accessible recreational area also open to summer conference guests.
UT Conferences can assist you with designing instructor-led learning/recreational activities as well as coordinate sports tournaments for your participants. We also have large inflatable activities and life-size games available for use by your participants which would make a great addition to special events or parties.
Tournament coordination includes facilitating sign-ups, preparing tournament brackets, managing the tournament schedule, and providing staff to facilitate each tournament game. These staff would not serve as referees but would advise participants on game rules and manage the game clock and scoreboard as needed.
