The first half of the course will focus on assessment techniques to assist the practitioner in being able to identify specific tissues involved, and how to develop a “critical thinking flowchart” of other possible pathologies/dysfunctions. The second half of the course will focus on how to develop a progressive therapeutic exercise program and safely return the canine athlete back to sport.

Prerequisites:

Because this class will be addressing assessment/evaluation, students must have had coursework in canine anatomy, palpation and musculoskeletal assessment.
